The Kiwanis Club of Black Mountain-Swannanoa recently presented the World Citizenship Awards for 2019 – 2020. The awards were based on a personal statement regarding the student’s understanding of, and involvement in, World Citizenship.

The three finalists were invited to a Kiwanis luncheon on Oct. 24, where they read their essays. First place was awarded to Alex Rudins of Asheville Christian Academy. The two runner-ups were Asher Davidson, also of Asheville Christian Academy, and Rebecca Zeigler, of Owen High School. Congratulations to these exemplary students.
