UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center is proud to announce its off-campus office and engagement site relocation to the Hatch Innovation Hub, a shared co-working and office located in downtown Asheville. This milestone coincides with the celebration of NEMAC’s 20th anniversary of work and represents a perfect cohesion of a commitment to collaboration and community engagement.
As an environmental applied research center, NEMAC is dedicated to helping communities make informed decisions in a complex and rapidly changing world. Hatch offers a vibrant and synergetic environment that supports a strategy of fostering innovation and collaboration across sectors. Joining this community provides a valuable opportunity for NEMAC to engage with external partners and stakeholders, interact with local founders, and continue to grow a network within the area.
“Our move to Hatch is an exciting opportunity for NEMAC to further our mission of providing science-based solutions to build community resilience. We are also thrilled to offer our undergraduate interns a dynamic work environment where they can develop and advance their technical, communication, and networking skills,” said NEMAC Director Karin Rogers. “NEMAC is devoted to preparing the next generation for success in the workforce, by offering first-hand experience collaborating with a variety of for-profit and non-profit partners, and we believe that Hatchworks will enable us to do that even more effectively.”
NEMAC’s new off-campus address is: NEMAC at Hatchworks, 45 South French Broad Ave., Asheville, NC 28801
NEMAC continues to have a dedicated office space on the UNC Asheville campus to engage with students and the campus community.
