On Tuesday, Sept. 22, starting at 7 p.m., the Friends of the WNC Nature Center will host a virtual Brews and Bears to celebrate the end of summer, with special appearances by everyone’s favorite American black bears, Uno and Ursa.

Registered participants will receive an email invitation with a link to attend the virtual event. They can tune in that evening or access the private link in the next month to watch the event on their own time. In addition to meeting the Nature Center’s resident bears, viewers will experience never-before-seen bear footage, learn how to help bears in the wild, and be the first to meet the newest animals who moved to the Nature Center this summer (it’s a surprise!).

Highland Brewing is helping the Friends of the WNC Nature Center keep the brews in Brews and Bears during this event by offering tokens that are redeemable for free beer the next time you visit them!

Admission to the virtual event includes a variety of ticket packages, from $10 for the “Bear Necessities” with event link only to $100 for the “TorchBEARer” VIP package.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.wildwnc.org/events. To be eligible for the raffle drawing, tickets must be purchased by noon on Tuesday, September 22. For more information visit www.wildwnc.org.
