Touch-A-Truck Event

A fire engine responds to the scene of an emergency.

Join the WNC Nature Center and the Junior League of Asheville for the Touch-A-Truck Family Festival on Saturday, Oct., 23, at the Asheville Outlets, 800 Brevard Road.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; with no horns, sirens or lights from 11 a.m. to noon.

Touch-A-Truck is a unique event where both kids and kids at heart have the opportunity to see, touch, climb and learn about vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation and delivery that serve the community. All vehicles will be parked in one place for guests to enjoy.

Visitors to the event will meet the drivers and people who operate these special vehicles. Children also will be able to participate in a truck-or-treat throughout the festival. Family friendly costumes are encouraged, but not required.

Additional activities on-site will include food for purchase, nonprofit organizations, play areas, complimentary balloon creations and several other special attractions. Parental supervision is required and cameras are highly recommended to capture the day’s adventures.

Tickets are $5 per person for ages 3 and up. For group tickets, contact
