The Carolina Day School (CDS) community had a virtual signing ceremony celebration earlier this month for Frances Huffman, who will pursue the sport of field hockey at the college level. Huffman signed her national letter of intent with the Royals, Queens University of Charlotte’s NFHCA Division II athletic program.

“I chose Queens because when I first got onto campus I felt so comfortable,” said Huffman. “It didn’t feel stressful or fast-paced; it was calm and organized. After I finally chose Queens, I never second-guessed my choice. I plan on majoring in sports management.”

CDS field hockey coach Holly Martin said, “It has been a true blessing to watch you play and develop from 6th-7th grade and then to come back and coach you your senior year. I’m so excited for you on this new chapter of your life.”
