BREVARD — Swing to the sultry sounds of star vocalist Jane Monheit accompanied by the students and faculty of the Brevard Music Center Jazz Institute with an outdoor concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 25.

A vocalist with remarkable virtuosity and innate interpretative skills, Jane Monheit — a two-time Grammy nominee — puts her own unique touch on beloved jazz standards, classic torch songs and contemporary pop.

Monheit grew up on Long Island amongst a family of musicians. She made her professional singing debut while still in high school and attended the Manhattan School of Music.

The performance will be held on the open-air stage of Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium at the Brevard Music Center.
