Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf

Hendersonville Community Theatre presents the play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” showing on the second stage at 229 S. Washington St. in Hendersonville from Sept. 20-29.

Directed by Jim Walker, this award-winning classic of the modern stage examines the complexities of marriage and betrayal.

In the early hours of the morning on the campus of an American college, Martha, much to her husband George’s displeasure, has invited the new professor and his wife to their home for some after-party drinks.

As the alcohol flows and dawn approaches, the young couple are drawn into George and Martha’s toxic games until the evening reaches its climax in a moment of devastating truth-telling.

Showings will be held on Fridays andSaturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets cost $20. They can be purchased online at http://hendersonvilletheatre.org/whos-afraid-of-virginia-wolf-2/.
