Known for stunning shows and superb musicianship, Lúnasa is internationally recognized as one of traditional Irish music’s finest instrumental groups. With inventive arrangements and bass-driven grooves, Lúnasa drives the acoustic Irish genre into surprising new territories.

The quartet will be coming to Asheville’s Wortham Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, March 18.

Since rising to the scene in 1997, Lúnasa has performed in more than 36 countries — appearing at globally renowned venues like The Hollywood Bowl, Dublin’s National Concert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and the Moscow International House of Music.

Innovation, virtuosity and passion have brought the quartet to the forefront of the Celtic scene, while their recordings have been hailed as some of the best and most important albums in world music.

The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are limited and range from $20-$35.
