NYC singer-multi-instrumentalist-composer-producer Daniel Sage continues his “Summer Concert Series” for local non-profit Safelight, that provides support for survivors of interpersonal violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

At his recent “Summer Swing! - A Night of Sinatra” Concert, also benefitting Safelight, Sage said to the audience, “If you call right now, or at 4 a.m. this morning, or any time, someone at Safelight is going to answer the phone and you’re going to hear the words ‘Safelight, how may I help you'.’ That’s what you’re helping.”

This week, Sage along with a full band perform “Moondancin” the hits and gems of Van Morrison at the Bo Thomas Theater at Blue Ridge Community College.

Everything from “Jackie Wilson Said” to “Domino”, “Crazy Love”, “Tupelo Honey”, “Into The Mystic” and more to the rare incredible tracks he composed. The concert is Saturday, July 27 at 8 p.m. The fourth Saturday of each month, the series continues with Sage and a full band performing the hits of the best-selling band in history, The Beatles, A Night of Soul and Motown, and A Night of Sting.

Sage has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the UN, and numerous additional venues. He plays and sings at nearly every musical venue in and around town, has been featured on the radio, and as for why he wants to help Safelight.

“We get to help make a difference. That’s why we’re here. I love making a difference," Sage said.

Dubbed “Rocket Man” by Bold Life, Sage has already performed a concert of the same title (A Night of Elton John) at the Flat Rock Playhouse Downtown, in addition to “Piano Man” (A Night of Billy Joel), and “Take It Easy” (A Night of Eagles / James Taylor). He also debuted his original music at “Rhythm & Brews” (with a full band), headlined “Monday Night Live” at the main stage, opened for Kip Winger (lead singer of “Winger”), performs every week and more.

This year, the concerts are taking place through October at “The Bo Thomas Theatre” (at Blue Ridge Community College), and every concert is featuring a full band (with different personnel for each concert).

A portion of all proceeds from all concerts in the Summer Concert Series (through October) are benefitting Safelight.

Tickets cost $25 and are available at www.DanielSage.com and www.Safelightfamily.org or by calling 212-779-1186. Tickets are also available at the door.
