Burial Beer: 3-day Mardi Gras 2020

Join Burial Beer for a three-day Mardi Gras celebration — food, music and beer — Feb. 23 — 25 at the South Slope taproom.

Burial Beer Company will hold its 7th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration for three days, Sunday, Feb. 23 – Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Asheville. The event includes live music, special Mardi Gras draft-only beer releases, New Orleans inspired food specials, King Cake, beads and more.

Highlights by day are:

• Sunday, Feb. 23 — Music: Second Line 4:15-4:45 p.m. and Simon George & Friends from 3-6 p.m. The Asheville Mardi Gras Parade starts at 3:05 p.m.Beer release: A Recurrant Plea Shrimp Toast Lager, made with shrimp crackers and Burial’s custom blend of low country seasoning.LEAF: LEAF’s Easel Riders will be at the taproom from 1-3 p.m. with a mask making table for all ages.

• Monday, Feb. 24 — Music: The Lundi Gras Party from 5-8 p.m.Beer release: The Deauville Cocktail Sour with apple and lemon zest.

• Tuesday, Feb. 25 — Music: The Big EZs from 5-8 p.m.Beer release: Born Unto These Street Gutters Monsoon India Pale Ale with pineapple, passionfruit, lemon and lime juice.
