UNC Asheville will host its spring Open House on Saturday, March 25, giving college-bound students and their families a chance to talk with current students, meet one-on-one with faculty and staff, and discuss academic programs, financial aid, scholarships and the application process.
“UNC Asheville, with its emphasis on undergraduate research, community service and internships, provides unusual opportunities for students to get involved and make a difference,” said UNC Asheville Senior Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Steve McKellips. “Even in their first year here, our students connect to mentors in our faculty and staff, engage in the community and city, and start on their paths toward professional success. Coming to Open House is a great way to get a first taste of the vibrant intellectual culture we have at UNC Asheville.”
Open House offers break-out sessions with faculty from academic departments and staff from university programs, including Study Abroad, Pre-Health Professions and Honors, as well as campus tours and a chance to learn about the variety of student organizations and activities.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Lipinsky Hall, and the formal program will begin at 9 a.m.Preregistration is encouraged; complete information and online registration can be found at admissions.unca.edu/open-house.
