Discover the advantages of using native plants in designing your home landscape during a Gardeners in the Mountains workshop event taking place from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on April 20.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to create multilayered plantings using natives selected for four-season interest. Staff will also demonstrate how to incorporate natives into both naturalistic and formal landscapes, and maintain your plantings over time.

The talk is free but registration is requested by calling 828-255-5522. Guests are invited to bring a brown-bag lunch.

The event will be held at the NC Cooperative Extension, Buncombe County Center, located at 49 Mount Carmel Road in Asheville.
