2017 Asheville Marathon and Half at Biltmore Estate is March 11-12

Due to popular demand, The Asheville Marathon and Half will be hosting a new Half Marathon in 2017.

The Saturday Half Marathon is now sold out, but that does not stop all of the fun! With exceeding interest in the Half Marathon, this addition will give runners the opportunity to run Saturday, Sunday or both days.

Asheville Marathon and Half is honored to host a second Half Marathon in the same weekend at Biltmore Estate. The races continue to attract runners from across the entire United States to the Biltmore Estate. ‘The Asheville Marathon and Half Marathon at Biltmore Estate continue to sell out year after year. The half marathon continues to be one of the most popular distance running events in America and the interest for this event increases every year. We wanted half marathoners to be able to take advantage of running alongside the marathoners at Biltmore again. This duo-event (Marathon and Half combo) is widely seen across most marathons and halfs in the country. Allowing the two events to happen again on one day, allows families and friends that want to do either the half or the full to do both of these events on one day, together,” said Race Director, Daphne Kirkwood.

This unique and scenic race takes place in America’s largest backyard. The Biltmore Estate is filled with high energy and excitement all weekend long. The race continues to grow annually and this year was not any different. The Asheville Marathon and Half is a memorable boutique race experience that no one wants to miss!

Half Marathon runners will explore 13.1 miles through the stunning site of the Biltmore Estate grounds. The Asheville Half Marathon participants will wind through hardwood forests, meadows, gardens, and extraordinary views of the estate. Along the way, runners will pass landmarks including Biltmore House and gardens, in America’s largest and most esteemed private residence. The Sunday, Half Marathon will be limited to only 800 participants.  Registration is filling quickly, so reserve your spot today! Registration for the Asheville Marathon and Sunday Half Marathon are now open at imathlete.com.

This is an exclusive chance for competitors to take in the sights of the Biltmore Estate! For more information, please visit the official Asheville Marathon event page or contact support@idaph.net.
