On Tuesday, May 15 the four orchestras of the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra display their skills in a spring concert. The performance takes place in the Asheville High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

The program for the evening includes beloved favorites including Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Fauré’s Élégie for cello and orchestra, and Copland’s An Outdoor Adventure. The Élégie will feature the winner of the ASYO’s annual Spotlight on Young Musicians competition, Aaron Chen, cellist with the ASYO.
Tickets are $10, general admission, and will be available at the door and online at ashevillesymphony.org.
For young people who are interested in joining the ranks of the ASYO, auditions will be held May 18-20. Students can register to audition via the Asheville Symphony website (ashevillesymphony.org).
