whiteSPACE to Opens a Second Gallery and Studio

Sandra Bottinelli

Sandra Bottinelli, founder of whiteSPACE Gallery in Wedge Studios, is opening a second gallery in downtown Asheville in early October.

Located in the new Aloft live/work development at 56 S. Lexington Ave., #105, the location will expand Bottinelli’s presence in the vibrant Asheville art scene.

An opening reception is planned for November. The artist will work and exhibit in both locations.

Bottinelli came to Asheville in 2012 after successfully exhibiting and earning accolades in Portland, Oregon, and Orlando, Florida. Her current work explores animal forms placed into abstract, atypical environments. The large canvasses have a contemporary appeal but certainly pay homage to classic oil painting techniques. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan with continued studies in Salamanca and Barcelona, Spain.
