Asheville Yoga Festival is July 27-30

Set in the heart of the ancient and mystical Appalachian Mountains, the vision of Asheville Yoga Festival is to create a space for connection, adventure, play, relaxation and healing.

Downtown Asheville will be the retro-urban backdrop for our expanded 2017 festival that will feature over 30 presenters and 70+ offerings including yoga, music, outdoor activities, and unique health & wellness vendors.

While enjoying the pedestrian-friendly festival, you will have the opportunity to experience the eclectic, funky downtown scene complete with a variety of locally owned shops, art galleries, and close to 100 restaurants, coffee shops & cafes.

We have created a schedule of 70 classes taught by over 40 renowned yoga instructors. You can enjoy up to 4 classes per day, ranging from yin and Thai massage to fiery inversions. Classes are strewn throughout downtown at 5 different venues, so you’ll get to enjoy the energetic vibe of the city while moving from class to class. The farthest walking distance between venues is 15 minutes. In order to assure that everyone gets into the classes they want, attendees will use to reserve their mat space in classes once a ticket is purchased.

Along with live music in a number of our class offerings, this year the festival is also proud to offer live music both Friday and Saturday night. Xavier Rudd will kick it off on Friday night- tickets for festival pass holders will be available in Mid April. On Saturday, MC YOGI will perform live with DJ Sol Rising. We have limited spaces for this event, so pass holders will need to reserve their space early to guarantee attendance. Both events will take place at New Mountain AVL, a downtown music venue within walking distance of the other festival venues.

30+ Vendors will grace Vance Monument Park in the heart of downtown Asheville. Take something home to remember your experience in the heart of this magical city – handmade mala necklaces, local pottery, artwork, jewelry, tinctures and body care alongside fresh, organic food vendors. Vendor Village will also host a slackline park, a relaxation lounge, live music and other special events.

Enhance your present moment awareness and alignment while connecting with nature on the beautiful French Broad River (flat section).  SUP yoga is a unique way to experience your practice. The added challenge of balancing on the board heightens your awareness of body alignment in poses and transitions. Experience the qualities of the 5 Elements of nature while you practice, with water as the floor, sun as the light, trees on the banks as the shade, air as the breeze that gently touches your skin and open space as our container. SUP yoga is a unique and fun way to take your practice outside, and floating Savasana may be one of the most relaxing poses you’ve ever experienced.
